Brief info
Phurba Tashi is a mountain guide widely known for holding the record of most ascents of +8000 meter summits, which includes the summit of Everest 21 times (three times in the 2007 season alone).
He has been featured in the Discovery Channel series “Everest: Beyond the limit” as the main character in a chapter that depicts different events happening during the ice avalanche in 2014.
Phurba Tashi lives with his family in Solukhumbu, in the small village of Khumjung, and has supplied the yak curtains for the Sagarmatha Next center.
