Our Visitor and Learning Centre invites trekkers, mountaineers, artists, art lovers, students & locals to learn & experiment with waste generated in the Himalayas

By highlighting art and innovation, we strive to find new purposes for waste. We aim to attract students, locals, trekkers and mountaineers and make them aware of the pressing challenges and provide them with an opportunity to participate and reduce their own footprint in the region.

The Visitor and Learning Centre

The Centre offers a Waste Lab, an experimental space where artists can transform waste into artwork and design products.

A Visitor Centre with film screening, digital displays and a learning hall with physical exhibits for visitors to learn about the Himalayan mountains & environment, local culture, socio-cultural changes, and waste management in the region.

An Art Gallery to display the art and sculptures created by the visiting resident artists as well as rotating exhibitions from all over the world.

And finally a Café and a Shop to generate funds for operating Sagarmatha Next.
